INVNT brings the heat with VIVID fire kitchen

One of the standout attractions of the 2023 Vivid Sydney program was the Vivid Fire Kitchen, a culinary extravaganza presented by INVNT in collaboration with IMG. This remarkable culinary experience has truly captivated the hearts and palates of food enthusiasts worldwide.

For three weeks, the inaugural Vivid Fire Kitchen brought together Sydney’s hottest dining concepts, local and internationally-acclaimed pitmasters, and a selection of the finest producers. Over 190,000 guests indulged in curated drinks and fire-inspired cocktails while immersing themselves in flame-fuelled festivities. Preliminary figures show more than 3.28 million people were drawn to the festival, up around 30% on 2022.

The talented chefs provided captivating barbecue demonstrations amidst the excitement at The Cutaway in Barangaroo. Flames soared high into the air, beef ribs smouldered over hot coals, and friends gathered around burning metal drums, savoring cups of warm, mulled wine. It was a truly unforgettable experience.

Vivid Sydney also delivered incredible results for our city’s hospitality and accommodation sector, with 745,000 people visiting restaurants, cafes and bars and hotel occupancy soaring to 90 per cent on Friday and Saturday nights.

The line-up of participating establishments was truly impressive from street food heroes to trailblazing restaurants and innovative dining concepts, renowned names like Nola Smokehouse & Bar, Alibi Bar & Dining, and many more served up mouth-watering dishes that captured the spirit of Sydney.
