Little Black Book: LinkedIn Gamifies Recruitment with AI Skills Sprint Activation via INVNT

LinkedIn partnered with global brand storytelling agency INVNT to stage an immersive four-day B2B activation in Sydney: the AI Skills Sprint.

Held at LinkedIn’s Sydney office, the experience brought together more than 270 talent acquisition leaders and recruiters to experience Hiring Assistant—LinkedIn’s first AI agent for recruiters—and build practical AI fluency alongside human-centered hiring capabilities.

Designed and delivered by INVNT, the gamified experience transformed the venue into six interactive, multi-zone environments:

  • Time Savings Quantification: Digital experience demonstrating real-world efficiency gains.
  • Responsible AI Myth-Busting: Large-scale game addressing common AI misconceptions.
  • Hiring Assistant Demos: Live hands-on interactive demonstrations.
  • Prompt Engineering Challenge: Exercises focused on mastering emerging AI prompting skills.
  • Candidate-First Communication: Collaborative sessions prioritizing candidate connection.
  • Actionable Adoption: Concluded with teams building 30-, 60-, and 90-day AI roadmaps and sharing public commitments on LinkedIn.

Turning Product Awareness into Practical Capability

“LinkedIn Hiring Assistant is a powerful AI tool, but the challenge was helping customers experience its value in a meaningful way. In partnership with LinkedIn, we created a high-energy AI Skills Sprint where teams could learn how to leverage AI by doing. By turning the product into a live challenge, participants could see how AI reduces admin-based tasks and helps recruiters focus on the human side of hiring.”

— Laura Roberts, Managing Director, APAC, INVNT

“The skills landscape is shifting faster than most people realise, and the question isn’t whether AI will change how recruiting works—it already has. What we saw in Sydney was people moving from uncertainty to real confidence, and that’s the shift we’re trying to accelerate across the region.”

— Teena Wooldridge, APAC Senior Director of Marketing, LinkedIn

Data highlighted during the Sprint revealed that recruiters using Hiring Assistant review 81% fewer profiles to find qualified matches, achieve 66% higher InMail acceptance rates, and save an average of 1.5 hours per role.
