Mediaweek: LinkedIn and INVNT Launch AI Skills Sprint Sydney for Recruiters

LinkedIn has partnered with global brand storytelling agency INVNT to deliver a four-day immersive B2B activation in Sydney: the AI Skills Sprint.

Hosted at LinkedIn’s Sydney office, the event brought together more than 270 talent acquisition leaders and recruiters to experience Hiring Assistant—LinkedIn’s first AI agent for recruiters—and build practical AI literacy alongside essential human-centric hiring capabilities.

Designed and produced by INVNT, the interactive team-based experience transformed the venue into six dedicated zones, moving attendees beyond simple product awareness into hands-on application:

  • Quantifying Efficiency: Interactive touchpoints showcasing time-saving benefits.
  • AI Myth-Busting: Large-scale interactive exercises addressing responsible AI practices.
  • Live Demos: Hands-on product immersion with Hiring Assistant.
  • Prompt Engineering: Challenges focused on mastering practical AI prompting skills.
  • Candidate-First Strategy: Collaborative sessions prioritizing candidate connection.
  • Actionable Adoption: Concluded with teams developing 30/60/90-day AI roadmaps and posting public pledges on LinkedIn.

Closing the AI Adoption Gap in Talent Acquisition

“LinkedIn Hiring Assistant is a powerful AI tool, but the challenge was helping customers experience its value in a meaningful way. By turning the product into a live challenge, participants could see how AI reduces admin-based tasks and helps recruiters focus on the human side of hiring.”

— Laura Roberts, Managing Director, APAC, INVNT

“The skills landscape is shifting faster than most people realise, and the question isn’t whether AI will change recruiting, it already has. What we saw in Sydney was people moving from uncertainty to real confidence, and that’s the shift we’re trying to accelerate across the region.”

— Teena Wooldridge, APAC Senior Director of Marketing, LinkedIn

Data shared during the activation revealed that recruiters using Hiring Assistant review 81% fewer profiles to identify qualified candidates, achieve 66% higher InMail acceptance rates, and save an average of 1.5 hours per role.
